MANUU DDE Assignment Submission

According to a recent communication issued by Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a new extension of the due dates for submitting assignments has been made available for students. The new deadlines have therefore given students the chance to submit their assignments after the original due date; however! This has resulted in each student now being required to fulfill some additional responsibilities to receive credit for completing all of the components of their degrees.

As a result, students have the opportunity and benefit from this long period of time as a source of motivation (to complete their assignment).

What the Official Notice Says?

The latest notification issued by the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) clearly states that:

  • The last date for submission of assignments has been extended to April 7th, 2026

  • This applies to semester-mode courses

  • It covers UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate programmes

  • The notice was officially released on 24 March under the universityโ€™s academic updates section

The specific updated due date is noted in the document, however, here is a clearer message:ย

You now have more time to complete your assignment without being penalised with a failing grade immediately.

Why This Extension Matters More Than It Looks?

At first glance, an extension feels like just โ€œextra days.โ€ But for distance learners, itโ€™s often much bigger than that.

1. Assignments Are Not Optional

In MANUUโ€™s distance education system, assignments are mandatory for appearing in exams. Missing them doesnโ€™t just reduce marks โ€” it can block your exam eligibility altogether.

2. Many Students Face Real Constraints

Distance learners often juggle:

  • Jobs
  • Family responsibilities
  • Limited study time

Extensions like this acknowledge those realities.

3. It Helps Improve Quality, Not Just Submission

Students who were rushing earlier now have a chance to:

  • Refine answers
  • Follow proper formatting
  • Actually understand topics instead of copying

Submission Modes: How to Send Your Work

One thing that hasn’t changed with this extension is the way you submit your assignments. Depending on your course and how the university has instructed you, there are two main paths.

The Offline Way

For most traditional distance learners, handwriting is still the gold standard. There is something uniquely personal about writing out your thoughts on paper, and MANUU values that.

1. Get the most recent assignment questions by downloading them from the MANUU DDE Official Assignment Page.

2. Use your own handwriting when answering the questions! Don’t use a keyboard. The University will not accept typed work and wants to see how much effort you put into doing it yourself.

3. Turn in your assignments at your Learning Support Centre – make sure you get a receipt or some other type of proof of submission!

The Online Way

If you are part of a program that uses the online mode, keep a close eye on your inbox.

Check Your Email: Google Form links for assignment submission have been sent to your registered email IDs.

Check Spam: If you don’t see the link, double-check your spam or “Promotions” folder. Sometimes these important links get filtered out by mistake.

Understanding the Assignment System at MANUU

If youโ€™re new to distance education or recently enrolled, hereโ€™s something you should know:

Assignments are not just internal work โ€” they are a core part of evaluation.

How They Impact You

  • Carry significant weight in final marks
  • Act as internal assessment
  • Reflect your understanding of study material
  • Required before issuing hall tickets in many cases

This is why universities like MANUU repeatedly release notices about submission deadlines.

Common Mistakes Students Make

Even with extra time, many students still struggle. Hereโ€™s why:

โ€œIโ€™ll do it laterโ€

This is the biggest trap. Extensions create a false sense of comfort.

Copy-Paste Assignments

Universities increasingly check for originality. Poor-quality submissions can affect marks.

Ignoring Guidelines

Each assignment comes with instructions. Ignoring them can lead to rejection.

Missing the Final Deadline Again

Yes, it happens โ€” more often than you think.

How This Impacts Exam Preparation

Many students think assignments and exams are separate. Theyโ€™re not.

Assignments Help You:

  • Understand key topics

  • Practice writing answers

  • Identify weak areas

  • Prepare for exam patterns

Students who complete assignments properly often find exams easier.

Final Thoughts

Letโ€™s be honest โ€” getting an extension feels like relief.

But itโ€™s also a second chance.

The university has done its part by giving more time.

ย Now itโ€™s on you to:

  • Finish pending work

    ย

  • Improve quality

    ย

  • Submit before the final deadline

Because in distance education, discipline matters more than deadlines.

And sometimes, the difference between success and backlog is just one thing:

Whether you used the extra time wisely or not.

FAQs

Q. Does this extension apply to the annual mode or only the semester mode?

The notice specifically mentions Semester Mode students (batches 2022 to 2025). If you are in the annual mode, you should check for a separate notification or contact your LSC.

Q. Is it possible to mail my offline assignments to the LSC for submission?

Generally speaking, the preferred method of submitting assignments is by presenting them personally at an LSC to ensure accurate records. However; If you live in an area far from an LSC, check with your LSC Coordinator to see if they will allow you to send them the assignment via registered post with a tracking number.

Q. I have not received a Google Form link for online submission; what can I do?

The first action that you should take is to check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there, report the technical issue immediately to the CDOE Helpdesk or IT department of MANUU. Do not wait until April 7th to contact them about a technical issue.

Q. Will I incur a late submission fee if I submit between March 25th and April 7th?

No! Since this is an official extension, any submission received on or prior to April 7, 2026, will be considered a regular submission. There is no penalty.
